I have found that using Gmail and Ficker, to host my images via pages.google.com is an easi yethod. This site has a tool called Page Creater, and is very quick and user friendly for hosting your pictures. Just to let you know that when you first open a Gmail or Flickr account, it can take several minutes for the image to up load.
I will be posting some more photo very soon…
Here we are again, Monday morning, sat in the lab with construction noises from the ground work maintainence and no available tutorial content on the learning@griffith!! It’s all good, because it’s easter week and we have a long weekend available to chill out before our mass influx of due assignments. My weekend is going to consist of partying, but not drinking, as I work for Wicked party Tours will be pumping this weekend and i’ve gotta motivate the sales team to perform well.
If any of you enjoy writing with html, here is my first Writing for the Web assignment available for your perusal. “Check this out!”
Sailing through the Panama Canal has to be a pretty slow and unconventional way to pass through a country!! This was taken from a friends camera and I’m not sure of the model.
I enjoy my summer walks along Nobby’s Beach. Taken from my Canon Finepix S5500.
Here is my little friend Oscar… Very cute!!!! Taken with my Finepix.

Lecture Notes
Wow! The content of this lecture was amazing… to use these examples of Plato to say Cyberspace is Platonism as a working product, brilliant. Also the comparison of the shift in the communication culture 2,500 years ago, that is comparitable to todays technological evolution in Socrates theories. Clever guy!
Now thinking about the difference between public and commercial broadcasters, as much as i’m currently studying a course in marketing, I really despise commercials and turn the TV over instantly (when I get a chance to watch it that is). So having the option of watching TV via the internet an fully choosing your program suits me just fine!
As for those 3D glasses, I remember watching Jaws (showing my age) when you have to wear those rediculous blue and red lensed goggles, and you either had a head from the vision or hitting your head against an object behing, thinking the shark was going to eat you lol…
When browsing through the list of VR applications, a thought of VR Fitness camr to mind. When the lag time is reduced to zero, a simulated sports enviroment could be programmed and encorage peole to partake in virtual sports. Some people lack the facilities, knowledge or even the confidence to go out and excercise. A full training session could be animated in the VR head set. Even an advance level to fine tune professionals performance. I’m first for the womens volley ball tournament!!!!
Alphaville
A black and white science fiction movie representing the distopia in another planet in the future. I didn’t look very futuristic to me though, but what do you expect as it was made in the 60’s!! I like the trench-coat too, very imaginative and futuristic!! The hero caled himself a Guadalcanal veteran.
After brainstorming a variety of ideas from some controversial issues, I am considering basing my essay topic on
File Sharing on the internet or VR.
I’m using pro-quest on the library website and the 3 academic articles relating to this topic are as follows;

These 3 three academic articles have given me more of direct goal on my written assignment and I will look more into the social issues of file sharing.
Mailing List
We had some other tasks to carry out during tutorial 4, and one of them was to look at mailing lists and relate them to
some of the things we study in New Comm. Tech. I discovered you can set up your own blog sites and also have
state your opinion on a website forum. They also give you handy tips with HTML and other useful computing advise.

Lecture Notes
WWW to Internet! I certainly didn’t know the difference until now, I just thought, like all the rest of the computer dullerds that they ment the same thing, nice one Griffith lol.
Now, on the subject of ‘Cyberspace’ and ‘Convergence’, if there was ever to be a nuclear fall-out or a virus that could destroy the majority of the human race, then we would see ourselves in a dialectic disaster of communicating without face to face contact. Then the word ‘Netiquette’ would take on a whole new meaning, it would become the only way, and then follows new rules and dialectics, Netpolice cracking down on the ‘crackers’ and so on
As for viruses, I wonder if someone from the security services is actually sending them out in order to sell more products #( Any thing is possible these days :0
In all fairness, sinse i’ve been learining more about the comm. tech. society, my netiquette has improved, emailing more often to my good friends, that is
As for the copyright and the opportunity to infringe it’s policy, the internet holds a great opportunity to look at other products and improve on their quality. This is, I guess the dialectic in a converging economic market. The competition just got even more competitive, fine tuning their products, just like the latest mobile phone can do almost everything.
I remember watching a program called Tomorrow’s World on BBC England (Google it) and they once sayed that one day your mobile phone, could do anything from play TV programs to compute like a PC. Now, looking back and remembering the size of the phone in her hand, looking like a house brick, I think to myself; is that all it can do as it’s bloody big!!!!
